Alexandru Ionut “Alex” Florea is a singer from Romania. He participated in the fifth season of Vocea României (The Romanian version of The Voice) in 2015. At the blind audition’s Alex performed ‘Bed of Roses’ with both Marius Moga and Loredana Groza turning for the singer. Alex chose Marius Moga as his coach and he made it through to the semi-finals of the competition before being eliminated.
As well as this, Alex is representing Romania at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest alongside Ilinca. The duo were chosen through Romania’s national selection (Selectia Nationala 2017) earlier this year. They won the competition after gaining double the points of the act who finished in second place. They will, therefore, perform the song ‘Yodel It!’ at the Eurovision Song Contest next week in Kyiv.
